'Sego Dayo', The Unique Culture in Indonesia

Firna Azzaya - Indonesia has a diverse culture, in different regions there also must be different cultures. One of them is in my village, people usually call it "sego dayo". Sego dayo is a banquet held specifically for mothers.

The way to invite them is also very unique, namely not like banquet invitations in general which use invitations, but by inviting neighbors to come to the house usually by shouting "sego dayo” while walking around the village.

The only dishes served during sego dayo are sayur bayem and botok udang. The sego dayo event usually held on after a woman is Success when giving birth.
